A pioneer and leading figure in China’s sand painting art, Yang Baiyue is recognized as the first practitioner of sand painting to be designated as an Intangible Cultural Heritage. He is a member of the Beijing Sand Painting Association, the Overseas Chinese Artists Association, and serves as a judge for the National Sand Painting Competition. Having exhibited and won awards internationally, Yang’s art blends delicate storytelling with poetic visual rhythm, redefining the expressive boundaries of contemporary performance art.
