Chinese-American artist, born in Beijing in 1970. A graduate andfaculty member of the Central Academy of Fine Arts, Liu is a member of theChina Artists Association and a director of the Overseas Chinese ArtistsAssociation. As one of Beijing’s distinguished mid-career artists, he hasexhibited widely and received numerous awards, including the OutstandingArtwork Award at the UN CSW69 “Love and Hope” Exhibition. His works are held ininstitutional collections worldwide, and he designed award certificates andofficial posters for the 2008 Beijing Olympics. Liu’s ink paintings merge classicalChinese aesthetics with contemporary vision, embodying a dialogue betweentradition and the modern spirit.
