The Portraits of the Departed series — including Chinese  painting with mineral pigments and fiber installations — Liu attempts to  explore the relationships and mutual positioning between     individuals, as well as between people and their surrounding time and  space. This series emerged as a blossoming of life amid the confusion and  contemplation Liu experienced in the post-pandemic era. It is both a tribute  to the departed and a salute to all the beautiful moments and     memories that are fading away.
