
Ellen Qiongzhao is a Chinese-American artist, sculptor, and painter active across Europe, the United States, and Asia. Holding a PhD in Literature and Art History, she currently serves as Director of the Goddess Art Museum,Vice Chairperson of the Rodin International Artists Foundation, and Chairperson of the World Alliance of Asian Women. Since 1988, her works in oil and sculpture have been collected by leading international institutions, including the Fuji Art Museum (Japan), the Museum of the American Revolution, theNational Constitution Center, the Washington Crossing Historic Park Museum, theChinese American Museum, and the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts.
She is a two-time recipient of the Fuji Art Award (1992, 2002) and washonored with the Ellis Island Medal of Honor in 2018. In 2021, she received the“Art Excellence Award” from the NewYork International Art Expo, and in 2023, was named “WorldArts Leadership Laureate.” Her distinctions also includethe Chinese Cultural Heritage Award and the Global Leadership Award in theUnited States.
Her monumental historical reliefs — WashingtonCrossing the Delaware, Signers of the Declaration of Independence, Signaturesof the U.S. Constitution, and The First Thanksgiving —reimagine key moments in American history through grand narrative, refinedcraftsmanship, and luminous sculptural language. These works are celebrated asexemplary fusions of contemporary sculptural form and historical spirit.
