This exhibition is dedicated to those who chose to stay—particularly international students and immigrants who decided to build their lives far from their countries.
In cities like New York, London, Vancouver, Berlin, and Sydney, staying is rarely easy. It is a decision shaped by cultural dislocation, family separation, and the constant act of self-reinvention. Behind each quiet choice lies a story of resilience, uncertainty, and hope.
Through performance, moving images, soundscapes, installations, and words, The Ones Who Stay brings their lived experiences to the forefront—not as background voices, but as central protagonists in the global narrative of migration and belonging.
Premiered at the Memor Museum in New York, this exhibition will continue to travel—to cities where these stories are still unfolding.
Visibility is not ornament. It is a form of power.
