Imprinting Experience Through Light
Date: Saturday, May 9, 2026
Time: 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM
(Pre-registration Required)
About the Workshop
The Tracing Experience workshop is a practice-based extension of Han Qin’s artistic methodology, distilling over a decade of pedagogical and creative expertise into a two-hour participatory session.
Participants are invited to bring a personal item—an object carrying individual memory—to be transformed into a cyanotype image on paper. Through this direct engagement with light and chemistry, you will move from "observing" art to "making" it, sensing how personal intention and physical material interact to create lasting traces. This process offers a space for reflection on identity and memory, serving as a form of deep, internal healing.
Exhibition Context
This workshop is held in conjunction with the solo exhibition States of Becoming (May 4 – May 17). In collaboration with the Contemporary Art Practice Lab (CAPL), artist Han Qin transforms the domestic architecture of the MEMOR Museum into an "unfinished studio". The exhibition features silk paintings, video projections, and installations that explore the heart of migration, identity, and the fluid nature of human experience.
