Born in 1968 in Hebei, China, Zuo Jin graduated from the CentralAcademy of Fine Arts. In 2012, he founded the Canadian Chinese ArtistsAssociation, where he serves as President, fostering cultural exchange betweenChina and Canada. He is also Vice President of the Canadian Painting Societyand Chief Artist of C9 Gallery.

Zuo’s artistic language bridges realism, abstraction, and hisself-developed “Enlightenment” style, exploring profound connections betweenhumanity, nature, and the cosmos. His major works—Mediocrity, Empathy, andShortsightedness—have garnered international acclaim through exhibitions in NewYork and at the United Nations. His monumental painting The Sea is consideredthe world’s largest ocean-themed artwork. For his cultural contributions, Zuowas named “Cultural Ambassador for China–Canada Exchange” and awarded the QueenElizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal by the Canadian Parliament.
