Yang Yi, President of the Overseas Chinese Artists Association andmember of the China Artists Association, is a New York–based artist andcurator. Her 2015 Tribute to Heroes series, commemorating 9/11 firefighters,gained global media recognition. Yang has received multiple honors, includingthe Outstanding Artist Award from the New York State Assembly, the GlobalChinese Artists Golden Pen Award, the Time Chinese Artist of the Year Award,and the UN Women’s Conference Outstanding Artwork Award.
