Professional painter currently living and working in Beijing and LosAngeles. Born in 1967 in Weifang, Shandong Province, Chen graduated from theDepartment of Fine Arts at Qufu Normal University in 1989. He served asDirector of the Office of the Oil Painting Art Committee of the China ArtistsAssociation (2016–2021) and is currently a Research Fellowat the Beijing Institute of Contemporary Chinese Freehand Oil Painting. In2022, after relocating to the United States, he was awarded the Luxembourg ArtPrize.

职业画家，现工作生活于北京与洛杉矶。1967年生于山东潍坊，1989年毕业于曲阜师范大学美术系。曾任中国美术家协会油画艺术委员会办公室主任（2016–2021），现为北京当代中国写意油画研究院特约研究员。2022年旅居美国，并荣获“卢森堡艺术奖”。
