This iron kettle is cast from Japanese sand iron. The taotie animal mask pattern on the body originates from Chinese Shang and Zhou dynasty bronzes, a classic motif of ancient Chinese civilization. The kettle also features archaistic animal-head ring holders, combining practical functionality with aesthetic value.
この鉄瓶は日本の砂鉄で鋳造されている。胴部の饕餮獣面紋は、中国の商周時代の青銅器に由来し、中国古代文明の典型的な文様である。胴部には古式を模した獣首の環付などの装飾も施され、実用性と審美性を兼ね備えている。
