Erosion and Transpiration

Ming Ren

Size:

30” X 40”

Material:

Ink, Acrylic, Xuan paper on canvas

Under the sharp teeth of time and the breath of nature, rocks are slowly eroded, their forms gradually disintegrating; water vapor rises from the darkness, transforming into hazy light, shadow, and mist. The interplay of deep red, inky black, and pale white records the symbiotic process of material decay and spiritual sublimation. A meditative work on existence, disappearance, and eternal transformation.
