This work originates from my poem:    "You and I —    You should have been a dream,    I should have been a breeze."    The figures in the sculpture wear an ambiguous, half-smiling expression.  What I seek to convey is the complex emotion between two people who, though  leaning close, harbor solitude within. Their bodies are near, yet their  hearts remain distant — a quiet resignation to the often unbridgeable space  between souls.
